Riyom is a Local Government Area in Plateau State, Nigeria, It is the gateway to the State when coming from the East and from Abuja with an area of 807 km² and a population of 131,557 at the 2006 census, which is predominantly Berom. The LGA has boundaries with Kaduna and Nasarawa State.
Notably the Local government mostly consists of rural community people who major on agricultural for daily livelihood and for commercial purposes.
Recognizing the central role of Agriculture in his community, the Local Government Chairman, Hon Mafeng Gwolson was proactive in seeking the wealth and expertise of ASTC in sustainable modern Agric practice. To develop farmers in mechanized agriculture and with professional advice on crops and farm practices. Further encouraging community participation in Agriculture; emphasizing a greater degree of community involvement in Agriculture as the people are direct beneficiaries.
ASTC & M Ltd services was retained by Riyom Local Government Area with the company deploying available resources to cultivate 896 hectares of land in different locations of, Jol, sub, kwi, sharubutu 1 and 2 and Tahose all in Riyom Local Government Area.
ASTC& M Ltd also deployed manpower with implements and equipments to render services ranging from Sub-soiling, plough, harrowing, Ridging Etc. ASTC&M team of professionals also offered professional advice base on Agric expertise as it relates to crop farming.
